ABC NEWS RADIO VOTE 2010 COVERAGE PLANS

ABC News Radio will provide extensive coverage of Vote 2010 – the 2010 Midterm Elections. Our plans include the following:

Status Reports on both Election Day and the day after (Tuesday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 3).
Live Anchored Coverage on Election Night (Tuesday, November 2)

On Election Day (Tuesday, November 2):

We will provide status reports twice an hour, at the tops (00:30) and bottoms (30:30) of each hour, from 5:00:30AM ET – 4:30:30PM ET.

We will provide status reports four times an hour (:00:30, :20:00, :30:30 and :50:00) from 5:00:30PM ET – 1:00:30AM ET.

On the day after Election Day (Wednesday, November 3) we will provide status reports once an hour at 30:30 from 1:30:30AM ET - 4:30:30AM ET, then twice an hour from at 00:30 and 30:30 from 5:00:30AM ET – 11:30:30AM ET.

All Status Reports will run :60.

All Status Reports will be fed on ABC FIFTY (50).  Status Reports will also be posted on www.abcnewscall.com under the Status tab.

ABC News Radio will provide Live Anchored Coverage on Election Night, Tuesday, November 2.

Live Anchored Coverage of VOTE 2010 will start at 7:00:00PM ET and will continue through at least
12:58:50AM ET (Wednesday, November 3).

All breaks in Live Anchored Coverage will be covered by continuous programming.

We will provide optional joins at :06 and at :34 every hour. These rejoins allow you maximum programming flexibility to dip in and out of our anchored coverage.

For instance, the clock is designed to provide 10 minute modular segments starting with these rejoins. For example, from :06 to :16 and again from :34 to :44 each hour you can include these stand-alone segments in your local coverage. The outcue for these segments and all breaks is:

“You’re listening to live coverage of Vote 2010 from ABC News.”

Live Anchored Coverage will be fed on ABC FIFTY ONE (51).

You may also find LIVE COVERAGE on your XDS satellite receiver, under the program titled:

ABC VOTE 2010 LIVE COVERAGE.

Live Audio of all speeches will be fed on ABC FIFTY THREE (53), ABC NINTY EIGHT (98) and
ABC NINETY NINE (99).
